VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Several Veteran Organizations in Valley City will be conducting Military Honors on Memorial Day, May 26th in remembrance of those who have died for their country.
Military Honors will consist of wreath placement, prayer, gun salute and taps.

10:20am Memory Gardens Cemetery
10:50am Woodbine Cemetery
11:15am Eagles (Riverside)
After rendering Military Honors, performances consisting of Patriotic Music will be conducted by the Valley City Community Band, and the Valley City High School Band indoors at the Eagles Club at 11:30am. Attendees are then invited for lunch starting at Noon.
The Eckelson-Sanborn Memorial Day program will be held Monday, May 26th, starting at 10:30 a.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sanborn, ND. Following the program visitation to the Fairview and Sacred Heart cemeteries and Sanborn Veterans Park. Lunch will follow at the Sanborn Community Center. All are welcome to attend.
And don’t forget about the Memorial Day Potluck Monday, May 26th in Leal, North Dakota at 11:30am. Color Guard at the Cemetery. Potluck in the Firehall after the ceremony. Please bring a dish to pass and share with everyone.
