Cuba, North Dakota Train Derailment Update

CUBA, N.D. (NwewsDakota.com) – A train engineer for CPKC train escaped serious injury following a 17 car train derailment near Cuba, North Dakota on Monday, December 30th.

Barnes County Emergency Manager Jessica Jenrich said the train was hauling sand, a non-hazardous material. She said one road south of Cuba will be closed for a few days while the area is being cleaned up.

Again no injuries were reported in the derailment south of Cuba, North Dakota.
