JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – ‘Tis the season for mittens, stocking caps, scarves and things that provide warmth. That is why one organization is seeking gifts of warmth for those who need it most.

Since 2017, Unison Bank in Jamestown, N.D., has decorated for the holiday season early, at least with one specific tree – the Tree of Warmth. Each year, Unison Bank accepts donations of hats, scarves, mittens and gloves for its Tree of Warmth which then is donated to the Salvation Army for distribution.

“It’s important to give back, in big and/or small ways, to our community,” said Crissy Torres, Unison Bank New Account Representative & Good Neighbors Club Director. “This is a perfect way that anyone can do that.”

Donations to the Tree of Warmth can be made at the Unison Bank Jamestown branch until Friday, December 13th.

Over the past seven years, the Tree of Warmth has provided approximately 200 items per year to the Salvation Army to help keep individuals warm throughout the cold winter months.

Unison Bank President & CEO, Kelly Rachel, shared, “These items are invaluable during the winter season, and any amount that a person can give forward to someone in need of them is a blessing.”
