Oregon Girl Injured in Interstate 94 Crash Near Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NDHP) – A 7-year-old girl was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 94 three miles west of Jamestown on Friday, June 7th shortly after 8am.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said a Freightliner was westbound on Interstate 94 in the right (north) lane followed by a Ram 2500 towing an empty goose neck trailer rear-ended the Freightliner. After impact, the Ram ran off the roadway into the north ditch and overturned, coming to final rest in an upright position facing east. The Freightliner came to final rest facing north in the north ditch.

Both occupants of the Ram were transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. The 7-year-old girl from Redmond, Oregon was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo by Sanford AirMed. The driver of the Ram 2500, a 39-year-old man from Redmond, Oregon was injured in the crash. The 24-year-old driver of the Freightliner was not injured in the crash.

Agencies Involved: North Dakota Highway Patrol, Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department, Jamestown Ambulance, Jamestown Fire Department, and Sanford AirMed.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
