VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Barnes County Board of Commissioners issued a burn ban after grass fires ignited in multiple areas in the county due to tender dry conditions.
Emergency Manager Jessica Jenrich said there is a temporary burn ban for all Barnes County effective immediately.
This burn ban prohibits the burning of leaves, grass clippings, garbage/pits, construction debris, fallen trees, crop residue or hay land, sloughs, campfires, and bonfires.
