JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Memorial Day Observance in Jamestown will be held at the Gladstone Inn on Monday, May 27th. Other activities are listed below.
The Jamestown Patriotic Council has a full morning of activities planned starting with a Memorial-Remembrance service, Drum & Bugle Corps performance, with recognition at 9am. Following the service there will be a wreath lowering at the Nickeus Park Bridge and remembrances at Fort Seward and city cemeteries by Veteran Organizations, Auxiliaries, and the 20th Infantry Group.
Starting about 11:15am there will be a luncheon, social, and refreshments served at the All Vets Club with free will offering with all proceeds going to the Patriotic Council for future patriotic activities in Jamestown. The club will close after the luncheon. Take a few hours out of your weekend to pause and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, those who have given us this blessed gift of freedom.
