VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Some are calling it the summer storm of the century and observing the damage inflicted, they maybe right.
After the storm downed an iconic Cottonwood tree in Valley City located in the parking lot of Charlie Brown field some friends took me on a drive to a remote area in Barnes County where an even bigger Cottonwood tree came down during the storm.
The following photos are from that grove of Cottonwood trees north of Valley City as well as structural damage near Eggert’s and Jewett’s landing along Lake Ashtabula.
On Wednesday, June 25th, Barnes County Emergency Manager Jessica Jenrich joined the Steve and Ryan show to give an update on the extensive damage across the county from tornadoes and high wind.
