BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-liner Speech Team traveled to Shiloh Christian school to compete on Saturday. March 1st. They had an amazing day, ending the day with many people placing and state qualifying.

Poetry: Cadence Fetsch (4th )
Dramatic: Leah Hochhalter (2nd A/B Split State Qualifying)
Serious Duo: Leah Hochhalter and Kylie VanBruggen (2nd A/B Split State Qualifying)
Persuade: Robyn Belgard (Top Novice), Claire Hass (4th ), Cadence Fetsch (3rd )
Entertain: Cooper Anderson (8th ), Quin Krueger (6th ), Addison Fetsch (4th )
Impromptu: Abby Wilmes (7th ), Carter Hass (4th )

Leah Hochhalter is the 2025 Poetry Out Loud state champion and will now advance to Washington, D.C. for national competition.
The Valley City Speech Team had an amazing day. They will be traveling to Oakes, North Dakota this Saturday, March 8th for another amazing meet.
