VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Congratulations to the Sheyenne Valley Area Career and Technology Center Welding Champions! Students showcased their incredible skills at the 11th Annual Lynnes Welding Competition, bringing home big wins!
Bentley Thornton dominated the competition, securing 1st place in the GMAW (wire welding) and 1st place in Oxy Fuel Torch! He earned a $1,000 Scholarship from American Welding Society, Welding gear ready pack worth $700, grinding face mask, AND won a brand-new welder for SVACTC students!
Dylan Piatz placed 2nd in SMAW (stick welding) and Quincy Corbin placed 2nd in Virtual Welding. Congratulate these talented students for their excellence and outstanding representation of the Sheyenne Valley Area Career and Technology Center. The students now go on to the Skills Competition April 13-15th in Bismark.
